The task was to make a video to be integrated with a live speech comment for the presentation of a big-scale project (involving a whole city). I found the best solution using Google Earth to create a fly-through from space directly to houses and streets. A 3D version of the buildings of the city were created from maps and loaded into GE, crucial buildings highlighted and names of topic locations and paths inserted. I programmed the fly-throughs along the paths, then manually switched from different views I had prepared and recorded the whole action with a common screen-recording app. The resulting clips were then edited and post-stylized in After Effects, also adding some fx like the fireworks.
I think this was a good job in terms of problem >> solution development.
