VJer

programming

VJer, as the name clearly says, is a tool to make live video. It is a patch for Quartz Composer, a free and very powerful tool that comes with the Mac OS (you can find it in the developers tools add-ons).
I made it on the December the 31th 2007 afternoon, as they asked me to "play some videos" at the local club for the new year's eve party. So I got caught by the developer fever and started to make something to play and mix (with effects) various clips I had (and other I downloaded from the web). I hereby make the patch available to anyone may find it useful (and funny). Just download it, go inside (some very very basic knowledge of Quartz Composer is required) and then just connect your own clips to the input patches you'll find inside.
Use the following keys to operate:

left-right arrows: change background clip bank (2 banks are setup for the patch)
up-down arrows: change background clip (inside selected bank)
1-2-3-4-5: activate over-clip with different blending modes
a-s: change over-clip
0: deactivate over-clip
z-x-c-v-b-n: effects for background clip

Not state-of-the-art documentation ... well, if you use it and need some hint, just write me.
